They say that 'necessity is the mother of all invention' and so it was when our daughter broke her elbow badly at three years of age in 2010. A sleepy tumble out of bed resulted in metal pins, surgery and a cast that extended from hand to shoulder. This cumbersome cast weighed almost as much as she did and the hospital sling did nothing to support the weight of the cast. The design of the hospital sling ensured that the full weight of the cast pulled on her little neck and resulted in friction and pain.

A search for a comfortable sling ensued. Amazingly it could not be found! We set about designing a sling that was comfortable, durable and dispersed the weight of the cast across the shoulder rather than the neck. Many prototypes later, our slings were born. We use popular fabrics and the best quality fleece to make slings that are fashionable and durable.

Our buckle system make it much easier to wear and remove the sling. The buckle also makes the slings height adjustable and will not slip unlike slings that are held with velcro. Velcro secured slings are also notorious for trapping and pulling hair. The fleece lined neck pad reduces rubbing and friction. Our thumb hooks help keep the sling in place.

Our slings are fabricated from quality materials in our own workshop in Sligo, Ireland.
